This blade features a ridiculously thin hollow grind. The name Gomai translates to "five layers" in Japanese. In traditional Japanese bladesmithing, this technique is used to signify a knife that has five distinct layers of steel.
This knife is extremely thin and light. It has a bolster of stainless steel that is differentially polished to highlight the faceting of the handle.
